Austria’s Gussing takes stake in biomass business GP Energy

Newenergyworldnetwork.com, January 31st

Austrian-based Gussing Renewable Energy has reportedly taken a 25 per cent stake in Indian biomass business GP Energy

According to a report in India’s Economic Times, Gussing has acquired the equity share in GP Energy to help it increase its turnover, and expand its footprint. GP Energy already has plants in Nepal, Thailand and Guyana.
Earlier this month, Gussing participated in what was said to be one of the largest deals in the stationary fuel cell industry through a $500m transaction signed with ClearEdge Power.
GP Energy specialises in biogas diversification and synergies between the two companies are thought to include enriched bio-fertilisers, hydrogen cells and energy storage technologies.
